What is your appliance doing?
Water remains after the cycle
Say whether the program reached its end or stopped early. Include any slow sink drainage or plumbing work around the time the problem began.
Dishes come out with residue
Note the program, detergent and where items were loaded. Poor results and a machine that never washes are different complaints.
The machine won't begin washing
Describe what happens after you start it: a sound, water entering, a message, or no response. Check for a rack or utensil interfering with the door.
What the repair assessment needs to establish
An assessment follows the dishwasher's actual cycle: filling, circulating, draining and completing the selected program. The drain route and installation can matter as much as a component inside the machine. Water left in the tub is not sufficient evidence to order a pump.
Before your service visit
Stop using a dishwasher that is leaking. Once it is off and cool, follow the model's instructions for any owner-accessible filter care; don't reach into hidden openings. Mention custom door panels and flooring installed around the machine when arranging access.
