Identify the burner and explain the behavior from normal use. Leave it off instead of making repeated ignition attempts.
The oven takes much longer to heat
Include the mode and whether it eventually reaches its usual operating condition. Mention if the complaint began suddenly.
One oven works and another doesn't
If your range has two cavities, describe each separately. Their controls and behavior need to be identified in the request.
What the repair assessment needs to establish
A range combines functions that may fail independently. The technician needs the model and fuel type before checking the relevant ignition, heating or control system. Surface burners working normally do not answer every question about the oven below them.
Before your service visit
Allow the equipment to cool and clear the immediate floor area. Do not pull a gas range away from its connections or release its retaining hardware. Tell us about recent cleaning and about anything unusual you've already observed, including messages, smells or a door that no longer shuts correctly.
