What is your appliance doing?
No ice after normal use
Tell us whether the freezer is still freezing food normally and whether the ice function appears enabled. Include any recent shutoff or filter work.
Cubes look different
Smaller, irregular or joined cubes are useful details. Note whether the change was sudden and whether the bin was recently emptied.
Ice exists but won't dispense
A bin containing ice is a different complaint from a bin that never refills. Describe what happens at the dispenser without reaching into its mechanism.
What the repair assessment needs to establish
The technician needs to distinguish ice production, ice storage and dispensing. Depending on the model, the freezer's temperature, water supply and the ice-making sequence may all matter. Buying an ice-maker assembly based only on an empty bin can miss the reason it stopped producing.
Before your service visit
Don't loosen a water line or force a frozen mechanism. If water is escaping, stop using the affected function and mention the leak when calling. Have the refrigerator model available if this is an ice maker inside another appliance; a photo of the ice bin alone won't identify the complete system.
